I am trying out to create a Skydrive folder under hotmail.
I don't know if everyone can access it through their hotmail though...
The main purpose of this is to share things that we need to view/edit/print or whatever.
Pls try to view and tell me if it works.

Reminder

Hey guys just in case you forget tomorrow there's CARP, at Sunlove Home. The timing has changed, its from 9.30am to 12.30pm, so that we can accompany those people during their lunchtime. The attire is PE shirt with khaki shorts, and white socks(OBVIOUSLY). If you need directions, just check the previous posts.

Anyway, Jonas has reminded via email already. Just in case you are those type of people who only check blogs but not their email.

falling in

heya, your overly-enthu-extra ex i/c here.

no offence to anyone, but seriously, when falling in, please do NOT fidget. just because you do not see the NCOs does not mean they do not see YOU. (i.e. they are watching from the back etc;) ESP when someone tells you to stop fidgeting, do NOT look around to see who that person is. if that person CARES to tell you to quit fidgeting, he is someone with squad spirit, and thus has the right to tell you to stop fidgeting, thus you should not question him with a weird look, and do NOT say "NCO not even here, don't extra lah..."

<3
La.

p.s. NPAP, do not make HCINPCC look like its made up of a bunch of idiots (i know this is my hobby but I'll try to control myself ok...)

p.p.s. free hug <3
By the way,

for the ICAS thing,
you can really just post if you're going in the cbox there >>>>>>>>
it doesn't really matters.
Sending emails just because of that would be wasting your time,
and spamming my inbox. lol.

Hi people,

About today's training...
I was reminded of something.
Another competition.

ICAS Science 2009
6th May 2009 (WEDNESDAY)
2.15pm ~ 3.15pm

Who have already signed up for it?
If you are not sure, pls check with your Science Teacher...
If you are going, pls send me your name to my email
(cheng_wen_hao@hotmail.com)
by THE SUNDAY AFTER (26 April)
so that i can compile the list of people and send them to our NCO.

After that date, please go tell yourself.
(I suppose that 18 days is enough for you to do it).

Hopefully what happened today won't repeat.

Rgds,
Wenhao

Improving the power of the squad (Part I)

Hey, Nicholas here. Just want to say that this will be a long post and you can just read the highlighted parts. This is my opinion, feel free to comment (: (Names have been changed to protect the person)

I was thinking, recently our squad has been getting chaotic and everything so just some ideas on how to improve our squad.

1. Respect and love your squadmates (NCOs too! - I know this is cliche but bear with me..)
  1. That means treating them with respect, helping them instead of watching them in trouble, like instead of saying 'too bad' or laughing and walking away when your squad mate is hurt or something, you could help/comfort him.
  2. Listen to what they have to say, respect their opinion, NOT ask them to 'shut up'
2. Communication
  1. Accept criticism and improve. Criticism from your squad mates doesn't mean they're scolding your or something, it is an opportunity for you to improve, as they are pointing our your mistakes to you. So LISTEN and don't ask the person to shut up.
  2. Of course, there is good and bad criticism. Good criticism helps the person to improve by pointing our his mistakes, while bad criticism is equivalent to scolding and insulting the person - An example of good criticism: "Ben can your say your timing louder and sharper, don't drag it, and say left-right-left-right-left-right instead of left-left-left-right", and an example of bad criticism: "Ben your timing sucks." The difference if pretty obvious.
  3. Listen first. Don't ask your squad mates to shut up or fight with them.
  4. If your squad mate is making a mistake, don't keep quiet and hope you won't get punished, then stay away and act δΉ–. TAKE THE INITIATIVE!
  5. Spread the message. Self explanatory.
3. Squad spirit
  1. That means not only thinking about your interests, but also of the squad. Win-win.
  2. Squad spirit is NOT: pushing and shoving your squad mates out of the way so you can fall in first. The timing is for everybody, not just yourself. Don't just care about yourself. An example of squad spirit would be like helping to post the training details or helping your squadmates to find out what location for the gala dinner when their com has spoiled, or opening the door for your squad to go through (win-win).
  3. If someone makes a mistake, the whole squad should share the blame. After all, nobody took the initiative to correct his mistake. Don't push the blame or point fingers.
  4. One for all, all for one. "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link"
  5. Teamwork. Work together. Synergy. Also self explanatory.
  6. IMPORTANT: SQUAD SPIRIT TAKES EVERYBODY TO WORK TOWARDS IT, NOT JUST SOME ENTHU INDIVIDUALS.
4. Synergy
  1. Work together.
5. DO IT NOW!
  1. Start working towards it. Encourage your squad mates, start caring about them, help them, respect them, PERSEVERE!
  2. "A year from now you may wish you had started today." - Karen Lamb
JIA YOU guys!
Together, you and I can make a difference.

HI :)

Just to share something nice (some of you might know).
Those who are using hotmail, there's such a thing called Skydrive.
Its a hotmail-based thingy, so must be logged in to use.
Seeing from its name, its actually, well, a thumbdrive on air (lol)
Ya, its like a thumbdrive and you can stor things inside it.
Comparing to a thumbdrive:

Pros:
-Loads files much faster.
-Useful when you forgot (common excuse) to bring your thumbdrive.
- IT HAS 25GB OF STORAGE !!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D

Cons:
-What if you don't have internet connection/connection is down? :(

Yep, thats about it.

Wenhao

P.S. I'm trying to say that you can use this for storing the Leave of Absence form for NPCC activities, especially those using hotmail, bcos i THINK that hotmail cannot bookmark or do whatever to an email.
Trust me, its useful :D
